Alright, MGW's back. Here's a little information on my military fiction in the works.

Outline

Let's start with the title of the story. The current official title is "United We Soar" I don't know why it took me so long, I kept desiring for a very strong title that was related strength, justice and courage, or to the past , even trying to make a Gaelic or Latin title. Revenge came to mind as well; titles such as 'Oath of Valor", "Vendetta/Sun of Columbia ", and "Gallant Flames" were listed in my notes. The second name might be the alternative.
The story takes place around the year 2016. I've decided that I wanted it to take place NOT that far in the future so the threat of terrorism outside of home still lingers, except a new war actually happens and it is of a high scale. The reason behind it and the choice of belligerents, except the United States and Russia has not been decided. My focus was the actions of super powers after the Islamist group conflicts, and the morals/ideals of the U.S.A. The KGB may be the largest threat.
The story is going to be M-rated or Mature. It will be short, less than ten chapters. It will center around a new U.S Air Force squadron (the 1063rd F-I) and its missions (air superiority in war), particularly four characters. The squad's name is the Brave Chevaliers
The IRL Aircraft that'll appear on the squadron's side may be the F-22 Raptor, F-15E Strike Eagle, the Super Hornet and, because it's set in the future, the newly developed F-35 Lightning II. Also, it's my goal to create a NEW aircraft to fight the terrorism, which will be used by the four chars I mentioned above. I also had trouble with its name but I think I will ultimately call it F-37 Strike Lancer. At first, it was going to be the only aircraft used but I didn't want to ignore the others. The strike Lancer may be a joint project by Lockheed and two other companies specifically made for the war operation.
World leaders are entirely fictional.
The four main characters, or "Alpha Team" of the squadron are the following: Claire Keighley, Aiden Christie, Mark Blasco, Jack Seigawa. The plan was to make the "Alpha Team" multi-racial, but all four are American born citizens.
