FP UPDATES (Aug 2, Aug 17, others)

Moving them from my profile to my blog, so that means extra updating.
AUGUST 17, 2009
Okay! I think the next SolAka chapter is getting a bit too long in my opinion, over 3000 words, so I'll split it into two so I can update them tommorow or Wednesday. I think there's much information, regarding the plans of the invasion. I really want to get to the fight as fast as possisble. After that, I'm going to work on HoGW on FF.net, then think up what's next for Seishin.
AUGUST 2, 2009
I hate to say it but I don't have anything new at the moment. I have been trying to work on the next chapter of both SolAka and Seishin at the same time. Later, I'll need to do some minor name changes in Seishin. Shoutarou's name in Kanji is spelled wrong, but more importantly the name Sogabe Hayata is incorrect (First/last). I don't know how I confused it. Maybe it's because the last Kanji symbol I used for So-ga-be (祖 課 部) is often used at the end of a man's name like Shou-ta-rou (勝 太 郎).
EDIT (30 mins later): Oops. Turns out the ending symbols are different for "be" and "rou" :) Got to fix them. Sogabe is a surname. Yoshi Hidaga needs to be changed just a little too

Dec 28, 2007
First it was June 13th 2004, then Sept 10th, 2006 and now Dec 28th of 2007. Nearing 2008, and still nothing to contribute here. Sorry, I've been mostly focusing on my fanfics and I've also been busy IRL; as for original work, I have like one or two ideas, I have nothing on paper. What to do, what to do? For now, I'll use my forums. All I need is some inspiration; all I got to do is write, write and write. It would be best to work on short stories for right now.
I still want to try something on Michigan history, or more specifically Canadian hstory with some Norse myth elements to it. Since I admire Greg Wiseman for creating the series of Gargoyles, the story may be inspired from that. What if there were gargoyles in Michigan?
Anyways, before I start on the new fiction, I think I'll check the old ones.
October 27, 2008
Again, a new year and no updates. But, good news and bad news. Bad News is that I still have nothing to contribute here and I'm mostly "active" on FF.net. I also deleted my two poems that I had here, although I imported them to document manager just in case I want to re-upload them. The good news is that I finally have an idea for an original story. Check blog and/or forum or details. I may have a new idea sooner or later. I don't know when the first chapter will be uploaded; in fact, I haven't thought of a first official title.

IT:TNC's (Seishin) only chapter, the prologue, has been revised. I hope it's better
February 26, 2009
Last update was October or November right? As you can see, I changed my profile and it now resembles the one I have on FF.net. Recently, I have been doing work on Seishin, typing up three short chapters simutanously. I even changed the story's name.
It is taking long because during it, I was gathering more information and developing more ideas for it. In other words, I was sidetracked. I also had trouble deciding on what I wanted the story for chapter 1 to be about and the chapter after that. This is a difficult challenge that I had put on myself and I am not Japanese. Attaining knowledge into the history of another country, with a long history, is going to take a lot of determination. The prologue was something I strated on as an intro to this self-proposed project and I did not take it that seriously. When I made the prologue, my notes on the story was in very early stages. That's okay right? Not saying that I should have the entire story on paper but I needed a grasp on Japanese history (and even a little on China because they were important in like 4th-5th century); the typical figures such as daimyo, peasants and Shogu ; how everything worked, the geography, wars, etc. Also, I wanted to look for more info on ninja. It was a very interesting adventure. I wish my Encarta was working.
Here's more...
I also had thoughts on military fiction about the U.S Air force and dinosaur fiction too. Check out my blog from time to time and I may post down ideas if I go through with it.
Also, if you may have noticed on my blog, I made an entry talking about Iga vs Koga (koka). It is a popular theme to see these two as rivals in fiction; but after research, it does not seem like there was such a strong rivalry between the two. I will keep the feud idea though.
( Purpose of Seishin )
Depict shinobi or ninja with a real-like image, outside of Masashi Kishimoto's NARUTO and the common images from media, in a historical and graphic drama story.
Because I like ninja, I grew frustrated at the silly theme that TMNT (but I like them), NARUTO, and video games (I like Hayabusa and such) emitted, especially in America. Plus, frustrated that everyone seem to knew what a ninja was. While I think it is cool, I've gotten my own opinions. In addition, I want to imagine the lives and real-like choices made by the Koga and Iga while doing the story, why their "rivalry" exist, and how they survive. I will try not to center on the historical figures like Kenshin, Ieyasu, and Nobunaga too much.
MArch 26, 2009
Surprise, surprise, a new fiction. Made it whiel I was working on Seishin and notes for my military fiction, but the temptation to create a super robot fictino was unbearable. So I got it out of my system. It is called Heroic Blaze SolAka (壮烈女王 ソルアカ) and I'm going for an old-fashioned type of style. The main character is a heroine who goes by the name of Hiori Soratoga. I'll type up some more on my blog. There is also a new poll. See you.
March 06, 2009
I screwed up on the dates. My last update was March 26, not Jan or Feb. Anyways, Seishin has been updated but it is over 1500 words. I did not expect it to go that far. I just kept writing and writing. I had planed for the chapter to move from the house to the town, but it turned out to make the chapter longer than I had expected to. The ending feels a bit rushed to me. And I may have to add in the fight scenes in the two chapters after the next. Sounds like a plan right? Listed above is my goal. In the next SolAka parts, we'll meet our heroine and her full fight against the aliens. The upcoming Seishin chapter is an interlude.
As for the military fic, it's tough to do.
April 27, 2009
Deleting the chapters of Seishin and doing some fixes. The story should be back later on the 28th.(okay, so it took longer)
