A ramble, expect grammar and spelling errors.

So I have a mafia story in mind, and I can't get the idea of sorcery out of my mind. I might as well stick with it.

As for a title, and idea for the crime war, a drug-like greed extends to obtaining magic.

Some things I thought of, and I can probably make an official summary for the blog and for wiki:

- Inside the [hierarchy?] called Costa Nostra, a secret is developed, as is a "new drug". The new drug "Stregheria" was highly coveted; it's because it could turn tides in competition, and was only distributed among the most trusted people.

- There is a thaumaturgy system in the mafia families called Strega (meaning witch; stregone means witch doctor or sorcerer), which is being pursued. High-ranking mafia officers, including the bosses, are in control of an element. Therefore, a magic user is called a "Strega". They invoke it through "mystical tools" (knife, cards, medallion, cu[, necklace) with colored pentagons. The elements are fire (red), air (green), water (water), earth (brown); 5th one is spirit (Gray or white), which is very rare.

- Sorcerer Rituals have been rendered either private or just defunct to hide the presence.

- Because of the desire for magic and the consequences from it, I was thinking of using the word "predator" in the title. Maybe "beasts" or "war" or "fang". Maybe even "Soma" (burden; capacity load) because of the main character's father and grandfather. Title might be in Italian.

- How witchcraft enters a body: Still don't know. Might be death and revival, might be syringe, might be through a knife, might be from a book, might be from eating.

- The Camorra in the story wants to get rid of witchcraft and its wielders for good as it is dangerous and lower lifespans. It also causes an imbalance in the business competition/wars. Some Camorra members are Strega so they swear to themselves to die after finishing a "Strega hit". They use blades to suck out the magic out of a decomposing Strega's body.

- "Strega", while lowering lifespan, also increases drug dependency. I am still thinking over the details, but being a strega user may cause pain or strain on the heart. Thus, the low lifespan. Fire users may be prone to fevers or muscle contraction (which can lead to stroke); wind users may be prone to chronic cough or sinus complications or respiratory virus or asthma. All of these complications are called, "mali" (plural for male. Italian. Meaning disease, harm, pain, illness). Therefore, a particular drug is needed. Like for the pain, it's digoxin. Or maybe stable psychoactive narcotic are needed because magic uses causes hallucinations? May be a combination?

- So of course, drug trading becomes aggressive because of this. And because of the strega, there becomes a lot of historical massacres...

- The main character's grandfather or great grandfather was a part of the mafia, an ancestor of the Stellaro Family. Wanting to quit, and understanding the great danger, the GF or GGF stole the mystic tool of spirit and swore off using strega. GF/GGF ends up dying; is either killed or dies from his mali. Descendant of GF/GFF and Emi creates a fruit shop.

- This was originally going to be a lesbian/yuri type story but the main character was changed to a young man. Emi becomes the Stellaro family boss's "lover". In many cases, for yaoi and yuri, it is rape. Least in the beginning?? Stellaro boss captures MC to lure out his father and to get the Spirit Mystic tool returned.

- Stellaro boss possibly loves the MC's super strong will and tries to convince him to join her, or to put him in a struggle (thus the love making?) so that his father will abide to her. During this, the boss is hunted by the Camorra.
