Hmmm Seishin draft (Mega incomplete)

A entry about Seishin. Just spilling my thoughts. It has the potential to be another Iga story. It kept cross my mind as tiny parts/ideas; now I can't remember what I wanted the purpose to be. For a long time, I was worried over the character Shoutarou, especially with his upbring and on why he was a cowardly character.
START:
For a title, maybe the "Dragon's eyes"? Wolf eyes? "Lion's eyes"?

It didn't feel like a sparring match. He was told that he wouldn't die, but the force from the fake sword striking his own made his whole body numb. When he tried to counter, the swing passed inches in front of his target's nasal bridge. Barely any effort from the defensive maneuver, and he was open.
Shoutarou is 10 years old at this time. It is the 3rd year of Eiroku (1560)
"Where is father?"
"He's at a meeting."
"If I rebuke you over and over, you'll won't feel the sense of improving yourself. The more you see that there isn't a way out, you'll hinder yourself."
The firm swordsman said.
"I don't know. Why must we go along with this?"
"Maybe your scars are quite deep..."
"but you act like you're facing monsters. Fear is nothing but an evil that you need to ward off."
When Shou was younger, he used to be teased and told scary stories; however, Hajime used to fret and talk about self-assurance. He would always say that they were "debilitating someone who could turn out to be a fine man". He even threaten those who did tease, including children. What was his thinking? He put aside his words. Shoutarou's father Ryo would say how unnecessary his brother's actions were.
They would feel the end of the blade between their eyes and it looked like they were split in half. A feeling of dread quickened their heartbeats. It was a bad feeling.
Uncle had some kind of inside anger. Because he was "different".
At one point, before Shou was born, it was told that Ryo wasn't capable of leading. The brother, the boy next in line, was not legitimate to lead.
"Uncle, why do you burden yourself with such a bad name?"
END
WHAT causes fear?
