Hey, of course I'm going to share what I'm learning. Always. Dunno about mathematics.

Remind me not to C&P stuff that I don't completely read (like that D&D info). There's going to be either two or three entries for September 15th.

I had trouble sleeping, but should be able to. I mean, I've been up since Thursday morning. So now I gotta stay active somehow. But the last time I stayed up I felt sick. You know that "my blood sugar's dropping" kind of feeling, or maybe a nausea feeling in the chest? Like that. Boy, my research streak was fuuuuuuun though.

Maybe when my damned sis comes home I'll sleep.

Maybe I'll take a little nap in the chair NOT the bed. Bad idea!, and play Shining Force, and listen to music/drama, and watch speed runs.

ANYWAYS! This is what I wanted to talk about. I'll make it as concise as possible.

I. Writer's Block
Writer's Block is a feeling that every writer gets, new and proffessional. You muse and muse, but find nothing but a blank? There are lasting moments you get when you think that your ideas "seem wrong". This is pretty bad when under a deadline isn't it? Or maybe you're just lagging and lazy. When it comes to preparing for text, you just might surprise yourself. Here are some tips:

1.) Try ignoring your own rules, or the ways you think are the "right ways" to start on typing/writing. "Think up an introduction or a rough outline" for example. Those kind of rules.

2.) DO you find yourself editing often? Erasing? Even though you have a plan on what to do? Are you afraid to write? Then perhaps you have a high desire of making something absolute, like really perfect. If this hinders you, ignore figuring out how to edit and do a bit of free unofficial writing. Put down notes elswhere, or do an outline/chain map. When you see things in front of your face it's usually better.

3.) Even after doing a lot of research, do you still feel like you don't know enough of your topic to write about it? Try focusing on an outline (topics, questions, list of connected evidence with the subjects included, opinions of others). Think Christian myth. Where did it start? Are angels famous through multiple cultures?

4.) Perhaps talk to another person about your ideas.

Hope that helps. o-O; I think I confused myself xD

I probably should describe those tactics (ie: outline) a bit later? Say, how do you think this can help with creative writing? Say, to create a character? Especially for RPGing?

It's all about pulling in your audience's attention. You also need to consider what kind of audience you're trying to enthrall.

NOTE: Paragrapghs need to interconnect, with the events in order. The first one needs to have your main focused idea obviously.

.
II. Ideas
* Give informative examples to your selected topics. Let's say you're going to talk about, "a lot of people are afraid of snakes". The reader is going to wonder why. Developing supporting ideas. Talk about the snake's skin, way of living, how they eat which is freaky, etc.

* Description should touch the senses (but this seems like more for autobios/first person or creative writing)

* Create an enticing point by providing facts and statistics. History/background and such. "This and such happened, meanwhile..." for example.

More later.
