Where did I come up with the idea for an armadillo to practice medicine (specifically acupuncture)?

"God, my mind is a blank." is how I describe Writer's Block. You get WB despite research, reading, gathering ideas, etc. I suggest going to one of the above links and reading some of the tips. I don't think I'll cover much on this subject and this blog entry will only list a few tips. Plus, I'm tired and suffering from WB myself.

What do I do?
1.) Take notes: Let's say you want to make a character. Don't start in the beginning, but just jot down notes. Don't worry about writing correctly, moving forward or the best ideas. I carry a journal around, k? Sometimes I don't make character ideas, but write down dialogue or a single sentence.

2.) Listen to Music and look at pictures: Currently I'm listening to Genesis of Next sung by Globe. I wish I could provide a better example, like what cool idea did I forge when listening to music? It might be a lyric, or just a single word, you have heard that sparked an idea. It may be just the SOUND of the song; try listening to something you hate. Also, pictures function the same way, but again I don't have a good example.

3.) KEEP Your health up!: Sleep well, walk, go on the walk machine, get blood pumping into your body and head. You may just be experiencing mental fatigue. Also, make sure you're in a comfomtable writing area, make sure your sitting posture is correct and there isn't much noise.

4.) Misc.: Sometimes I want to take time off and just breathe; I think the key here is to not think, do not think of your own writing rules. As weird as it is, I seem to get the funkiest ideas when I get ready to sleep. It's strange, they just pop up.
